Hello, we are the Steurys. Our names are Cletus and Naomi along with our children, Abby, Caleb, Katy, Charles, Chadd, and our twins Jemima & Josefina.
My desire for baking began when I was a little Amish boy. I grew up on a farm near the town of Grabill Indiana. I was the second child in a family of eleven children, so I had to help out my busy mom in the kitchen. I made many cookies and cakes for our family in a kerosene oven. I also got calls from my aunts asking me to come to their house to bake cookies for them every week. Then as my sisters grew older they began taking over in the kitchen, but I never lost the joy and satisfaction of baking.
In the year of 2005 Naomi and I were married, together we started dreaming of a home business. A year later we began pursuing the bakery business. After several years of remodeling, permits, and inspections we opened on October 15th 2010. In the meantime I had been experimenting with many recipes, some were keepers and some were not! Our recipes are tried and true, many of them are passed down from several generations. My wife and I did most of the baking in the first year of business, then it became too much for us to do alone.
